Deneffe Consulting

Daniel Deneffe is the Managing Director of Deneffe Consulting.  He set up the company after 17+ years at Arthur D. Little, the world’s first management consulting firm.  Throughout his career he has been active both in Management Consulting and Business Academics:  

1. Management Consulting:

In management consulting, he has focused throughout on applying pragmatic economic tools and using solidly founded empirical customer evidence to make better-founded strategic decisions.

Deneffe has applied his expertise in projects world-wide (Europe, US, Latin America, Middle East, Asia Pacific, Australia) and across a wide range of industries (including cars, trucks, FMCGs,  alcoholic beverages, beer, food, retail, financial industries, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, biotech, medical devices, disposable medical supplies, general and psychiatric hospitals, consumer durables, construction, cement, engineering and manufacturing industries, perimeter protection solutions, telecom operators, telecom hardware and software suppliers, payroll services, coach services, radar warning systems, insulation materials, specialty metals, precious metal refining, electric utilities, electricity grid operators, public services).

2. Business Academics

Deneffe holds a PhD from Cornell University’s Department of Economics (USA) where he specialized in Industrial Economics & Business Strategy and Quantitative Methods.

Deneffe teaches ‘Business Strategy in the Real World’ at Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education.  This was the most popular Management course in the January 2017 Term.  He received the Dean’s commendation for his distinguished teaching performance in the January 2015 and 2017 Terms. 

Deneffe is also a Professor of Global Strategy and Managerial Economics at Hult International Business School where he teaches in the EMBA and MBA programs

He has been elected Professor of the Year a record 20 times

Prior to joining Arthur D. Little, Deneffe was a full time faculty member at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business where he taught in the MBA and EMBA programs.
